Role: Guidewire Claim Center Developer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite Downtown Toronto) Position Type: Full-Time (FTE) Experience Required: 6–9 Years Start Date: 1st Week of July Job Description We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Claim Center Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing Guidewire Claim Center solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Claim Center configuration, customization, integrations, and insurance claims processes. Key Responsibilities Guidewire Development & Configuration Design, configure, customize, and implement solutions within Guidewire ClaimCenter. Develop and maintain business rules, workflows, screens, and user interface components. Customize data models and extend ClaimCenter functionality to meet business requirements. Develop and support Guidewire integrations with enterprise and third-party systems. Integration & Technical Solutions Build and maintain SOAP and REST-based web service integrations. Implement messaging, batch processing, and integration frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and maintainable technical solutions. Collaboration & Support Work closely with Business Analysts, QA teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices. Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and issue resolution activities. Performance & Optimization Identify and resolve application performance bottlenecks. Enhance existing ClaimCenter implementations for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry regulations. Required Qualifications 6–9 years of overall IT experience. 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter development experience. Strong expertise in Guidewire Studio and Gosu programming. Experience with ClaimCenter configuration, Rules Engine, and Data Model customization. Proficiency in Java, XML, and Guidewire development best practices. Hands-on experience with SOAP and REST web services. Experience working with messaging systems, batch processes, and system integrations. Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, specifically Claims Management. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Guidewire Cloud implementations. Exposure to integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Kafka, or similar technologies. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of application performance tuning and optimization. Ability to mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives.
