About The Role

As a Business Data Analyst at McKesson, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our data analytics initiatives. You will work closely with business leadership and cross-functional teams to define, build, and deploy innovative analytics solutions that drive strategic business outcomes. Your deep understanding of data, business strategy, and product management will ensure our analytics solutions are aligned with organizational goals and deliver maximum value. When necessary, you will take a hands-on approach by creating analytical solutions and insights that support various business functions. Your expertise will help transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent, along with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or related fields. Preferred candidates will have a strong background in data science, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related discipline. Experience with data visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, as well as proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools, is essential. Candidates should also have experience working with advanced analytics tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and familiarity with cloud-native technologies. Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are critical. Leadership experience in mentoring or guiding teams is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Leadership: Partner with executives and business leaders to understand strategic goals, identify opportunities where data analytics can provide actionable insights, and support decision-making processes. Communicate complex data concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring understanding and buy-in. Support cross-functional teams by providing in-depth data insights for complex business problems, utilizing advanced analytics techniques. Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to develop, implement, and optimize analytics solutions. Leverage various tools and resources to plan, evaluate, and execute strategic initiatives effectively. Manage and delegate tasks efficiently to internal and external teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize business processes, including identifying and addressing technical debt within the data landscape. Design and develop scalable data engineering solutions for efficient data movement across systems, supporting batch and real-time processing. Analyze structured data, develop models, and implement algorithms using statistical, data mining, econometrics, and operations research techniques. Implement data governance practices in collaboration with stakeholders and governance teams to promote data literacy and democratization. Troubleshoot, monitor, and tune performance of analytical solutions, web services, and data infrastructure components. Utilize tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, R, Python, and others to build and support analytical use cases. Create compelling visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Power BI, providing insights and training to end-users for effective data utilization.
