As a Cloud Support Lead, you will provide enterprise leadership for Supply Ontario's cloud operations, governance, and service delivery framework. In this role, you will establish cloud operational standards, influence technology strategy, and ensure cloud services effectively support organizational priorities, digital transformation initiatives, and long-term business objectives. You will provide technical leadership for day-to-day operations, ensuring secure and reliable service delivery, and support the implementation of cloud and AI-enabled solutions aligned with public sector standards. As a trusted subject matter expert, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, external vendors, and Ontario Public Service (OPS) partners to deliver innovative cloud-based solutions and maintain a stable, secure, and efficient technology environment. Your expertise will help shape the future of Supply Ontario's cloud capabilities while enabling exceptional service delivery across the organization.

Other key responsibilities include:

Provide enterprise leadership and operational direction for cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Azure, M365), ensuring secure, reliable, scalable, compliant, and high-performing technology services. Lead monitoring, incident, problem, change, and release management activities, including performance analysis, issue resolution, deployment readiness, impact assessment, and implementation validation in alignment with OPS ITSM practices. Lead and establish artificial intelligence operational growth, governance, cost management, and security of AI models Manage and resolve complex, high-risk, enterprise-wide cloud incidents and service disruptions, balancing competing priorities, organizational risk, and stakeholder requirements. Direct capacity planning, environment optimization, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure, operations, monitoring, processes, and documentation. Lead and support cloud initiatives, including deployments, migrations, enhancements, AI-enabled solutions, and ongoing operational support. Provide leadership and direction to cloud engineers, managed service providers (MSPs), project resources, and cross-functional technical teams by setting priorities, defining objectives, and ensuring successful delivery of services and projects. Establish and maintain cloud governance, operational policies, standards, procedures, runbooks, and best practices across the agency, including participation on the Architecture Review Board and in privacy and security assessments. Act as the subject matter expert for cloud operations, representing the cloud strategy and operational vision across the broader Digital, Data and Technology team and influencing senior leadership decisions on cloud investments, governance, risks, and requirements. Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks related to cloud services, AI technologies, cybersecurity, service continuity, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements. Determine operational priorities, recommend resource allocation, and guide the strategic sequencing of cloud initiatives, balancing business needs, service impacts, technology requirements, and organizational risks. Contribute to solution design, implementation planning, operational readiness activities, stakeholder engagement, and the development of presentations, technical documentation, and service specifications for both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate proactively with internal teams, vendors, service providers, and OPS partners to deliver integrated cloud solutions, resolve issues, and ensure service levels and contractual obligations are met. Monitor service performance, metrics, and SLAs; lead incident reviews and post-mortems; implement corrective actions; and provide insights to support strategic planning and continuous improvement. Ensure cloud operations align with OPS I&IT directives, cybersecurity standards, identity and access management best practices, and security requirements across the agency. Lead the operational governance, risk management, security oversight, compliance, monitoring, and service delivery framework for cloud-based AI solutions, ensuring sustainable, reliable, and policy-compliant adoption across the organization.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud operations, infrastructure management, or enterprise IT service delivery. Must have experience deploying and supporting Azure Foundry, Machine Learning (ML), Agents, and Generative AI models Hands-on experience supporting cloud platforms and services, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Experience with IT service management processes and tools. Experience working in a public sector or regulated environment is an asset.

The ideal candidate will also have:

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and services, particularly Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, as well as enterprise infrastructure and hybrid (Windows/Linux) environments. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, storage, system integration, and identity and access management principles. Experience applying cybersecurity best practices, risk management frameworks, and government or public-sector technology standards and policies. Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL, including incident, problem, change, and release management. Understanding of service delivery, operational governance, performance monitoring, and service level management. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, assess risks, and develop practical, effective solutions. Experience supporting and operating cloud-based AI solutions, including deployment, monitoring, governance, and continuous improvement in a regulated environment. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate alternatives, interpret technical information, and provide clear recommendations. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, and executive briefings, and translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Proven relationship management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, vendors, service providers, and stakeholders. Strong leadership and influencing skills, with experience providing technical guidance, coordinating work across teams, and driving outcomes in complex environments. Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Additional Information: The successful candidate may be required to participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional work outside regular business hours and on weekends, in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
