Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring an IT Manager to join our team working at our Steinbach office. Responsibilities

  • Lead daily IT operations, including service delivery, support, and escalation management.

  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented IT environment focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

  • Improve IT processes, documentation, onboarding/offboarding, asset management, and ticketing practices.

  • Maintain and support core infrastructure including networks, firewalls, VPNs, endpoints, Microsoft 365, backups, and remote connectivity.

  • Help ensure systems are secure, reliable, documented, and scalable.

  • Coordinate with vendors, managed service providers, and cybersecurity partners.

  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, remediation tracking, endpoint protection, and incident response coordination.

  • Support budgeting, procurement, licensing, lifecycle planning, and vendor management.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve IT operations and workflows. Participate in occasional after-hours maintenance or business-critical support when required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, systems administration, or service delivery.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience

  • Strong troubleshooting, prioritization, and communication skills.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, networking, firewalls, VPNs, endpoints, backups, and remote environments.

  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, end users, vendors, and business leaders.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to occasionally travel to project sites or offices.

  • Experience within construction, industrial, or multi-site operations is considered an asset.

  • Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and IT service management practices is an asset.

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and/or Fortinet solutions is preferred.

  • Exposure to cybersecurity practices, incident response, or security enhancement initiatives is beneficial.

  • Experience supporting ERP systems and enterprise business applications is considered an asset.
