This is your opportunity to put your AppSec expertise to work on something bigger: teaching AI how to reason about software risk, spot exploitable flaws, and recommend real remediation strategies.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Analyze realistic application security scenarios spanning code, APIs, and system behavior Classify and prioritize vulnerabilities — authentication flaws, injection risks, business logic issues, and more Evaluate secure coding practices and assess the quality of proposed remediation strategies Distinguish genuinely exploitable vulnerabilities from theoretical or low-impact risks Help create and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that train AI to assess application risk accurately Provide structured, written feedback that helps AI systems develop sharp, practical security judgment
Who You Are
2+ years of experience in application security, product security, or software security roles Solid understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and common vulnerabilities found in production environments Able to think like an attacker — and communicate findings like a trusted advisor Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain complex security reasoning clearly Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments
Nice to Have
Experience with bug bounty programs, penetration testing, or security code review Familiarity with secure development lifecycle (SDLC) practices Background in cloud-native or API security Prior experience contributing to AI training or data annotation projects
