About the Opportunity Our client is looking for motivated and technically driven Data Engineering Interns to join their remote team across Canada. Key Responsibilities Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines. Collect, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources. Support the development of ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data processing. Work with SQL databases and data warehouses to manage large datasets. Monitor data quality, integrity, and performance across data systems. Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to deliver reliable datasets. Optimise database queries and improve data processing efficiency. Document data engineering processes and technical workflows. Learn and implement cloud-based data engineering solutions. Stay updated with emerging data engineering tools and best practices.
Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Basic knowledge of Python or Java programming. Understanding of SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with database concepts and data modelling. Basic knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines. Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently in a remote, multicultural environment. Eagerness to learn modern data engineering technologies.
