A Day in the life of a Business Analyst for NG9-1-1 at Esri Canada: Lead business analysis activities for complex NG9-1-1 implementation and operational support initiatives, including requirements elicitation, process analysis, solution support, and validation. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with Bell stakeholders, 9-1-1 Authorities, GIS Data Providers, Aggregators, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and confirm requirements. Analyze NG9-1-1 business processes, operational workflows, and GIS data management activities, identifying gaps and recommending practical, scalable solution approaches aligned with Esri technology. Translate business needs into clear and structured deliverables, including requirements documentation, process models, operational procedures, acceptance criteria, and reporting artifacts. Collaborate with Project Managers, Solution Architects, technical teams, and operational stakeholders to support integrated solution design and delivery. Contribute to project scoping, estimation, and development of statements of work and supporting documentation. Identify risks, dependencies, and impacts related to requirements, operational processes, and solution design, and support mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior analysts and team members, supporting quality and consistency of deliverables. What you bring to the team: Fluent written and spoken proficiency in English and French. Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Analysis, GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Public Safety, Emergency Management, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in business analysis, GIS, geospatial data management, public safety, telecommunications, operational support services, or related fields. Experience leading business analysis activities within complex, client-facing implementation projects or operational service environments, including requirements management, process analysis, and solution alignment. Professional certification in business analysis, project management, or Agile methodologies (such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Scrum-related certifications). Strong preference will be given to candidates who reside within the Greater Toronto Area or Québec City metropolitan area to support collaboration with Bell and program stakeholders. Demonstrated depth of knowledge in business analysis practices, including requirements management, process modelling, solution validation, and operational support documentation. Proven ability to analyze complex operational workflows and translate program needs into structured, actionable deliverables aligned to technical and service delivery requirements. Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with technical teams, non-technical stakeholders, 9-1-1 Authorities, GIS Data Providers, Aggregators, and client representatives. Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills applied to complex, service-oriented, and mission-critical operational environments. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, support service-level expectations, coordinate issue escalation, and deliver high-quality outputs within defined timelines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document processes, decisions, operational procedures, status updates, and support artifacts clearly and accurately. Proven capability in data analysis activities such as data mapping, validation, discrepancy review, trend identification, and quality improvement within NG9-1-1 or related geospatial data management contexts.
