About Us: Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid QA Developer for our client in Guelph, Burlington, or Toronto, ON. This role requires 2 days per week onsite.
Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Developer to join a project focused on enhancing the quality and reliability of a Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated regression test suites, ensuring high-quality software releases through robust test automation practices.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain automated regression test suites for Guidewire PolicyCenter • Develop and execute automated tests using Playwright (required) • Contribute to test automation strategy and framework design • Analyze application functionality and identify automation opportunities • Execute automated and manual testing as required and report defects • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to resolve issues • Produce clear documentation of test cases, results, and automation processes • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release activities
Required Qualifications: • Senior-level experience in QA Automation or Software Development in Test (SDET) • Hands-on experience developing automated regression test suites • Strong experience with Playwright (required) • Experience testing Guidewire PolicyCenter applications • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within an Agile team
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Selenium • Previous experience working on Guidewire InsuranceSuite/PolicyCenter implementations, preferably in a Co-op Guidewire environment • Experience designing scalable test automation frameworks • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
Compensation: Salary Range: $70.00 – $90.00 per hour
