This role sits at the intersection of technology governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance within a complex enterprise environment. You will play a key part in strengthening the control framework across technology functions by providing expert advisory support on risk identification, mitigation strategies, and control effectiveness. The position involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite. You will leverage data-driven insights to enhance monitoring, reporting, and decision-making across technology risk domains. Acting as a key enabler of the enterprise risk program, you will help ensure robust governance structures are in place and continuously improved. Accountabilities In this role, you will lead and support risk governance and control oversight activities across technology programs while ensuring compliance and operational effectiveness: Provide advisory support on risk assessments, control design, and remediation of identified issues within technology environments Oversee execution of enterprise risk and compliance programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, timelines, and governance standards Strengthen and maintain the Process, Risk & Control (PRC) environment, including control library integrity and effectiveness monitoring Leverage data analytics and reporting tools to identify emerging risks and support risk-informed decision-making Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable governance and control practices Collaborate with stakeholders across business and control functions to ensure consistent application of risk frameworks Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assessments by providing documentation, analysis, and remediation plans Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of risk management programs, policies, and procedures Requirements The ideal candidate brings strong experience in technology risk, governance, or compliance, combined with analytical and communication skills in complex environments: 5–7 years of relevant experience in technology, financial services, risk management, or compliance roles Post-secondary education in computer science, engineering, information systems, mathematics, business, or related field Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, NIST, COBIT) Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into risk-informed recommendations Experience interpreting regulatory requirements and supporting governance documentation Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization or analytics tools Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, PMP, or cloud compliance credentials are considered strong assets Ability to work in ambiguous environments and manage multiple priorities independently Benefits Competitive salary range: $65,600 – $122,600 CAD, with eligibility for performance-based incentives Comprehensive health, dental, life, and accident insurance coverage Retirement savings plans and financial wellness programs Tuition reimbursement and access to continuous learning and certification support Flexible remote work environment supporting work-life balance Strong emphasis on professional development, coaching, and leadership growth Exposure to enterprise-scale technology risk and governance programs Inclusive and collaborative work culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability
