We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our Action IT team. Based in Moncton, New Brunswick, the IT Support Specialist would be responsible for providing technical support for internal users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, keeping systems patched and up to date, supporting network infrastructure/firewall and ensure continuous availability and maintenance of the company’s ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and Support company network infrastructure, firewalls, and remote sites
• Monitor and respond to security alerts across Microsoft Defender, firewalls, and other security platforms, ensuring timely identification and remediation of threats
• System administration and environment configuration of the company’s ERP system (Syspro)
• Diagnose and resolve network issues (e.g. LAN access)
• Participate in changes to network and systems access for new and existing employees
• Perform in-person, on-site repairs of PC desktop hardware, printers, and other peripherals
• Perform root cause analysis on functional and technical issues
• Coordinate software patches, upgrade testing and new implementations
• Provide end-user support and problem resolution via telephone, e-mail, and ticketing system

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in IT/Network Support
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud (Azure, Defender, Office 365)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
• Solid experience with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL an asset
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange an asset
• Knowledge of Syspro ERP system an asset
• Superior communication skills
• Ability to work a variety of hours as required
• Ability to travel, on occasion, within Canada
• Strong troubleshooting abilities

Wage Range

Starting at $45,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
