Vous serez le pont entre l'équipe de tests d'acceptation utilisateur et l'équipe de développement firmware, plongeant dans les logs, la console série, la télémétrie et le trafic réseau pour révéler ce qui se cache derrière une caméra bloquée ou un média qui ne s'uploade pas.
Ce que vous ferez Transformerez des symptômes terrain vagues (caméra bloquée, échec d'upload média, connectivité intermittente) en constats reproductibles et actionnables Analyserez les logs d'appareils, la sortie console série, la télémétrie, le trafic réseau et les logs kernel pour isoler la cause racine Validerez le firmware à travers plusieurs plateformes matérielles Vérifierez les procédures de mise à jour, rollback et redémarrage Validerez la communication end-to-end caméra-vers-cloud Automatiserez les diagnostics via des scripts Python Contribuerez aux revues de spécifications, au monitoring des pipelines CI et à la mise en place du laboratoire matériel
Ce que vous apportez 3+ ans d'expérience en QA/testing de produits embarqués ou IoT Expérience avec les distributions Linux embarquées (Yocto/Buildroot) Scripting Python pour l'automatisation Capacité démontrée à investiguer au-delà des tests de surface Solides compétences en rédaction de rapports d'incidents et de tickets de défauts

Embedded Software QA / Firmware QA Specialist
Join a team that turns vague field symptoms into precise, actionable diagnostics. You'll bridge the user acceptance testing team and the firmware development team, digging into device logs, serial console output, telemetry, and network traffic to uncover what's really behind a stuck camera or a failed media upload.
What you'll do Turn vague field symptoms (stuck camera, media not uploading, intermittent connectivity) into clear, reproducible, actionable findings Analyze device logs, serial console output, telemetry, network traffic, and kernel logs to isolate root cause Validate firmware across multiple hardware platforms Verify update, rollback, and reboot procedures Validate end-to-end camera-to-cloud communication Automate diagnostics using Python Contribute to specification reviews, CI pipeline monitoring, and hardware lab setup
What you bring 3+ years in QA/testing of embedded or IoT products Experience with embedded Linux distributions (Yocto/Buildroot) Python scripting for automation Demonstrated ability to investigate beyond surface-level testing Strong incident report and defect ticket writing skills
Good to know Remote position, team based in the greater Montreal area — internal communication in French Knowledge of hardware debugging equipment and cloud/cellular protocols: an asset Familiarity with a ticketing tool such as Jira: an asset
