About the role
The Application Support role is responsible for ensuring the stability and continuity of an AS400-based billing system through proactive operations monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement. Skills: Strong experience with IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing platform and operations Proficiency in CL (Control Language), RPG (RPGLE/ILE RPG) for troubleshooting and analysis Hands-on experience with batch job processing, job scheduling, and job queue management Able toperform data fixes, file maintenance, and system-level debugging Exposure to automation scripting, monitoring tools, and batch recovery strategies Deep understanding of manual handling, job logs, spool files, and system messages
Responsiblities: 1.Maintain availability of as400 applications within defined SLA 2.Troubleshoot and resolve all incidents/service requests within SLA 3.Coordinate with network, application architects and developers, and others to maintain a high performance end-to-end production solutions 4.Provide 24x7 support for critical issues and business hours support for all other 5.Initiate and implement changes to address operational gaps 6.Lead Root Cause Analysis for incidents and follow through to completion 7.Communicate with vendors and liase with other IT teams 8.Work with business to identify improvements
