IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate is a quality-focused engineer who enjoys finding issues before customers do. They combine strong technical testing skills with curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for building reliable software. They are equally comfortable writing Python automation and querying databases to verify that systems behave correctly end to end. They work closely with developers throughout the development lifecycle, automate repetitive testing wherever possible, and continuously improve product quality through data and user feedback. This individual is collaborative, analytical, and driven by delivering exceptional user experiences.
THE OPPORTUNITY Elevation Capital is building AI-powered software products that help organizations hire talent and manage field operations more effectively. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will own quality across multiple AI products, ensuring new features are thoroughly tested before reaching production. You will build automated testing frameworks in Python, validate data integrity at the database level, improve release confidence, and help drive reliability across every stage of the software lifecycle. Beyond testing, you will play an important role in user acceptance testing, onboarding, and helping translate customer feedback into product improvements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Own manual and automated testing across multiple AI products Design and maintain end-to-end and API automated test suites Build Python scripts and tooling for test automation, data validation, and issue investigation Write SQL queries to validate data integrity and confirm that application workflows produce correct backend data Execute regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing Validate complete recruiter and candidate workflows Define, monitor, and report platform quality, stability, and uptime metrics Investigate production issues, reproduce bugs, and partner with engineers to resolve them Support product rollouts through user onboarding, training, and feedback collection Continuously improve testing processes and release quality
WHO YOU ARE 4+ years of QA or software test engineering experience Strong Python programming skills for test automation and tooling Solid SQL skills with hands-on relational database experience — comfortable writing queries to validate data and investigate issues Strong hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright or similar (Python-based automation preferred) Experience testing REST APIs using pytest or comparable tools Comfortable reading application logs and investigating production issues Strong attention to detail and excellent written documentation skills Enjoy working closely with engineers throughout the development lifecycle Thrive in fast-moving startup environments
