This team owns the end-to-end delivery of critical technologies, creating the gold standard for employee engagement tools tailored for Operations leaders and associates. The ideal candidate should be experienced in managing cross-cutting technical products and projects with industry-wide impact. You should thrive working in an ambiguous and fast paced environment and will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap, using incremental delivery methods. You have experience working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment, driven cross-group teams in multiple geographies and able to communicate across diverse roles from engineers to VPs. We expect you to write strategic documents and influence large groups of senior stakeholders. You are able turn ambiguous problems into simple solutions. A successful candidate for this possesses superb business judgment, a high degree of customer-obsession, has a track record of delivering results, is strong on collaboration, and is data driven.

Key job responsibilities Work with engineering, product management, operations, marketing, legal, etc. to deliver our solutions, globally. Manage complex cross team programs from ideation to delivery. Create transparency and predictability with roadmaps, planning, and partner management. Manage delivery schedules and emergent tasks while mitigating risks, managing tradeoffs, and eliminating blockers. Participate in architectural decisions, surfacing and mitigating technical risks, driving complex integrations with internal and 3rd party solutions, retiring technical debt, and identifying opportunity to create operational efficiencies. Set and embody the team culture and standards consistent with Amazon’s leadership principals. Drive alignment with leadership in partner teams. A day in the life

As a Senior Technical Program Manager in the team, you will work with multiple business and tech teams to help solve complex technical solutions related to our product portfolio while also improving operational agility. You will have a direct influence on the technical design and implementation plan.

About The Team

You will be part of the Talent Management team within the Workforce Solutions Organization. This is a horizontal, multi-discipline organization whose mission is to transform the manager and employee experience by creating an integrated, AI-powered platform that connects career growth, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement and safety experiences for Amazon’s Operations Managers and Associates. We accomplish this by using our ability in product and program management, and design/research. Our portfolio of products is global and built on native AWS. We value people-centric solutions, and open exchange of ideas.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in technical product or program management Experience working directly with engineering teams Experience in software development Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
