Job Title: QA Engineer (Manual / Functional Testing) Location: Vancouver, BC (Onsite – 5 Days/Week from Day 1) Experience: 3–8+ Years

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer (Manual/Functional Testing) to join our Quality Assurance team in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing manual testing activities, validating new features, performing end-to-end functional testing, and ensuring high-quality software releases. This role requires strong experience in test planning, test execution, defect management, and mobile application testing within a fast-paced Agile environment .The successful candidate will work closely with QA Leads, Developers, Product Teams, and offshore testing teams to identify issues, validate fixes, and improve overall product quality.

Key Responsibilities: Execute manual test cases for new features, enhancements, and complex business scenarios. Perform end-to-end functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing. Review defects and testing tasks submitted by offshore QA teams before assignment to developers. Analyze test results and perform detailed bug validation and reproduction. Track, prioritize, and follow up on high-priority and blocking defects. Create high-quality defect reports with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence. Collaborate closely with QA Leads, Developers, Product Managers, and offshore teams. Validate incremental product changes and ensure adequate test coverage. Participate in test planning, test case design, and test execution activities. Provide regular status updates and weekly testing reports. Support release validation and production readiness activities.

Required Qualifications Testing Expertise Strong experience in Manual Testing and Functional Testing Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Experience in Test Planning, Test Case Design, Test Execution, and Defect Tracking. Expertise in: Regression Testing Smoke Testing Sanity Testing End-to-End Testing Feature Testing Strong understanding of defect management processes. Mobile Testing Hands-on experience testing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android). Experience validating mobile UI/UX, workflows, and functionality.

Collaboration Skills Experience working with onsite-offshore delivery models. Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams. Preferred Skills Agile/Scrum methodologies JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar defect tracking tools Test Documentation and Reportibg Root Cause Analysis User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support Release Validation
