TransUnion's Job Applicant Privacy Notice Team Overview The Sr. Consultant, Systems Designer will bridge the gap between business needs and technology while translating high level business problems and architectural visions into detailed, actionable technical designs working in collaboration with architects, developers and stakeholders. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week. Role Overview And Core Responsibilities Bridge the gap between business needs and technology. Translate high level business problems and architectural visions into detailed, actionable technical designs working in collaboration with architects, developers and stakeholders. Create/coordinate the creation of detailed design artifacts including system context diagrams, logical data models, API specs, non-functional requirements. Define/coordinate the definition of interactions between multiple systems (global, regional, 3rd party) to ensure data consistency, system performance and security. Provide guidance during development lifecycle, assist with UAT and defect resolution. Provide strong leadership to team members, ensuring tools and support are in place for team success. Partner with key business stakeholders to align business objectives and provide expert guidance. Coordinate activities of internal resources and external consultants. Engage with global teams and/or vendors to ensure maintenance of critical systems and processes in adherence to best practices and operational excellence. Assist with identification of departmental budgetary needs associated with projects and activities. Lead the development of strategic system management deliverables including requirements gathering and solution implementation. Oversee and monitor the development and execution of core processes including Release Management and Technical Currency Plan. Required Knowledge And Experiences Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in a systems analyst/designer role, including 5 years of progressive leadership experience. Experience in designing end to end systems flow including UI / user experience. Solid understanding of SDLC, release management, change management, QA/testing processes, and application/systems security related to critical production systems. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business leaders. Ability to lead, own and be accountable for technology systems, projects and ongoing maintenance. University degree in computer science or related field. Experience working collaboratively with global, remote internal teams and external IT vendors. Excellent communication skills with both business and technology contexts. Experience in performing business analysis, collecting requirements, and developing/designing solutions. Experience in DevOps and agile environments. Knowledge of technologies such as Confluence, Jira, APIs. The expected pay range for this position is $98,000 - $135,000 annually. The pay information provided for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of expected compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of many factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.
