Engagement: FT Summer Internship Location: Toronto (Hybrid) with 1-2 days per week of in-person collaboration in Toronto, Canada, and Tampa, Florida Role Overview Eastwood & Cleef is seeking a Summer Intern to support AI enablement, strategy, and program execution across our healthcare portfolio. You’ll work alongside consultants and operators at the intersection of applied AI, value-based care (VBC) strategy, and operational transformation. This is a hands-on role designed to build real skills through real work: research, analysis, structured problem solving, and clear client-ready output. Key Responsibilities Support project teams by conducting research and synthesising findings into clear takeaways Assist with quantitative and qualitative analysis to support strategy, operations, and transformation workstreams Support senior leadership by acting as a bandwidth extension and taking ad-hoc tasks Help document current-state workflows and identify opportunities for improvement and AI enablement Support the creation of executive-ready deliverables, including slides, memos, and simple operating summaries Contribute to workstream coordination by tracking action items, timelines, risks, and next steps Gather and organise data from multiple sources to identify patterns and inform recommendations Participate in team discussions, ask thoughtful questions, and apply feedback to improve your work Use modern productivity and AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency and quality of output Your Experience Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Health Administration, Economics, or Engineering Strong interest in healthcare, operations, and technology, with curiosity about applied AI and workflow automation Structured thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break ambiguous problems into clear steps Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clean, organised slides and summaries Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets; comfort working with data and basic analysis Reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks Ability to work well in a fast-moving environment and collaborate effectively with a small, high-output team Familiarity with SQL, BI tools, or Python is helpful but not required Our Shared Ethos Commitment to improving the American healthcare system Continuous improvement mindset High attention to detail Extreme ownership (no task too big or small) High impact, low ego Collaboration and communication as the roots of problem-solving Responsible use of tools and good judgment with sensitive information About Eastwood & Cleef Eastwood & Cleef is the management consulting arm of a US-based private equity family office, focused on data-driven problem solving and producing measurable impact.
