The Director, Enterprise Architecture leads CareRx’s enterprise architecture function to align technology with business strategy. This role drives technology roadmaps, modernization efforts, and investment decisions while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
Acting as a trusted advisor, the Director translates business needs into architecture standards and roadmaps, supporting initiatives across applications, data, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging digital and AI capabilities.

Key Accountabilities
Lead Enterprise Architecture
- Establish and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance.
- Define operating model and deliver key artifacts (roadmaps, capability maps, architecture views).
- Promote architecture as a strategic function supporting modernization and business outcomes.
Drive Technology Strategy & Modernization
- Develop and maintain enterprise technology roadmaps across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, and security.
- Assess current environment to identify risks, gaps, and modernization opportunities.
- Guide transformation initiatives and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to standards.
Align Technology with Business Outcomes
- Translate business strategy into technology solutions and investment recommendations.
- Support governance and prioritization of initiatives based on value, risk, and impact.
- Communicate architecture direction and influence enterprise-wide decision-making.
Provide Architecture Leadership
- Review and guide solution designs, vendor proposals, and integrations.
- Promote reusable standards, patterns, and security-by-design practices.
- Partner with teams to identify risks and support successful delivery.
Build Relationships & Influence
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders.
- Collaborate across teams and vendors to ensure alignment with architecture direction.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture / technology leadership.
- Experience with technology roadmaps, architecture frameworks, and modernization initiatives.
- Strong knowledge across applications, infrastructure, cloud, data, and cybersecurity.
- Proven ability to support investment decisions and work with senior stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with strong business and technical acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

Experience in healthcare or regulated environments.

Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks, ITIL, and cybersecurity standards.

Exposure to cloud, data platforms, integration, and emerging technologies (AI, automation).
Location: 320 Bay Street 1-2 days per week
Opportunity: This is a current existing position
Salary: $160,000 - $195,000
