Job Description: Department Overview : This position offers an excellent opportunity for the right individual to leverage their relevant capital markets experience, analytical ability, strategic thinking and project management skills as part of the Funding team of Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM). The mandate of the Funding team is to manage the Bank's capital and long term funding programs. It executes capital and funding transactions to achieve the lowest possible cost of funds while maintaining target liquidity and funding diversification levels. The Funding team is also responsible for securitization operations in support of the various secured funding programs. The Funding team works closely with other teams within TBSM as well as numerous other groups at TD Bank including Legal, TD Securities and Finance. The Funding team also works with external advisors in completing market transactions and in acquiring market intelligence. Job Description : The Funding team is looking for a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic team to execute the Bank’s funding and capital strategy, which best utilizes the Bank’s assets and positions TD for future growth. Primary responsibilities of this position are: Deliver effective and efficient funding program and transaction management solutions by researching and analyzing debt and capital markets and making recommendations on optimized funding amounts, tenor, channel, and currency, to achieve the Bank's funding objectives Support funding activities for TBSM with the timely and accurate issuance of medium term notes, covered bonds, asset backed securities and capital in both the domestic and foreign markets (USD, EUR, GBP, AUD etc.); Work closely with both liquidity and capital teams to determine the appropriate funding and capital needs of the Bank and ensure various key regulatory requirements are met (i.e. LCR, CET1, and Tier 1 ratios, etc) Lead and support the update and renewal of funding programs; review and understand legal program documents, ensure their timely execution; Support funding transactions by assisting in the due diligence process, preparation of investor marketing and rating agency materials, and review of any deal related documents; Assist with in depth review and analysis pertaining to any key regulatory initiatives that potential affect the Bank's funding programs (i.e. bail-in, TLAC, Basel/OSFI requirements, etc) Establishing, documenting and maintaining operational procedures and controls; Prepare, maintain and issue timely and accurate reporting; Manage and ensure the timely update of capital and funding program information on the Bank’s website and relevant funding database/s; Assist with fixed income investor relations strategy to support investor out-reach Ad hoc projects as assigned Job Requirements : Very strong analytical skills and finance/accounting acumen, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis Well-developed organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and ability to work well independently and as part of the team Excellent communication skills with ability to interface effectively with internal and external partners Excellent computer skills, including the ability to summarize disparate data in Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; experience with Bloomberg will be an asset A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-tasked environment, manage deadlines and adapt well to changing priorities Self-motivated, proactive and capable of learning through job experience A high level of commitment to quality work University degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
