About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (SCON) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and managing scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructure, as well as developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to facilitate efficient application deployment. This role involves working closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure seamless cloud operations, optimize system performance, and uphold security standards. The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will play a critical role in automating workflows, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the reliability and security of our cloud environments. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to innovative digital solutions for our clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or equivalent progressive experience in lieu of a degree Located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario, or willing to relocate (travel may be required) Authorized to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship (Infosys does not provide immigration sponsorship for this role) At least 7 years of information technology experience 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles Strong expertise in core AWS services and architecture Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana Good understanding of networking, security protocols, and Linux operating systems Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure components including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, and Lambda functions Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment processes Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and repeatable infrastructure provisioning Automate build, release, and operational workflows to improve deployment efficiency Monitor system performance, availability, and cost metrics, and optimize accordingly Ensure cloud security, compliance, and access controls through IAM, KMS, and other security best practices Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence Collaborate effectively with development, QA, and operations teams to facilitate seamless releases and environment management Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) and Docker environments in production Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards using CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana to ensure system health Document technical procedures, configurations, and operational knowledge for ongoing reference and team training Maintain a proactive approach to system security, performance, and reliability
