NTT DATA's Client is currently seeking a Python Developer to join their team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA). REMOTE
Job Description: Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based API services using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django. Build and deploy robust Python web services to support enterprise-level applications. Implement OAuth2 authentication and authorization mechanisms to ensure secure API access and data protection. Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, data processing, and system integrations across various platforms. Build, enhance, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications. Integrate applications securely with Password Vault solutions (e.g., Delinea) for credential management. Collaborate with IAM and security teams to ensure adherence to identity governance policies and security best practices. Write high-quality, clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments. Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and contribute to architecture and design decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
Python Development: 5+ years of professional experience in Python programming. API & Web Services Development: 4+ years of hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and web services using frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django. Python Scripting: 4+ years of experience developing automation and integration scripts. Authentication & Security: 3+ years of experience implementing OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT-based authentication. CI/CD Pipelines: 3+ years of experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. System Integration: Experience integrating applications with enterprise tools and secure systems, including password vaults. Problem Solving: Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills in complex environments. Software Development Best Practices: Strong understanding of version control (Git), testing frameworks, and coding standards.
Nice to Have (But Not Mandatory):
Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and tools. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Experience with secrets management tools such as Delinea, CyberArk, or HashiCorp Vault. Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems. Experience with logging/monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana). Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for Canada-based positions. The starting pay range for this remote role is [52 -79$ T4 hourly range]. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all Canada locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position is eligible for NTT DATA's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Discount Perks.
