Job Description Amaris Consulting is looking for a Production Support Consultant to join its Information System & Digital scope in Montreal. The role focuses on supporting production management activities, ensuring application stability, improving operational efficiency, and contributing to the continuous evolution of technology platforms in a fast-paced environment.
Your Missions Manage production support activities, including application monitoring, incident management, problem management, event management, and end-user support. Build strong business and application knowledge to support client-facing applications effectively. Diagnose, analyze, and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and usability. Develop automation solutions to reduce operational workload, improve efficiency, and limit client impact. Conduct root cause analyses and propose clear recommendations for continuous improvement. Work with development teams to support application fixes with relevant technical and business justification. Configure application monitoring using standard monitoring tools and customized monitoring solutions. Support the maintenance and improvement of production and non-production environments.
Your Profile 7+ years of experience in production support, production management, application support, or a similar technology environment. Experience with Python scripting, debugging, distributed systems, SQL queries, database concepts, and database performance analysis. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and Elastic Search. Knowledge of schedulers, ETL concepts, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Linux/Unix environments, and cloud concepts. Experience with generative AI tools and exposure to cloud platforms or core banking technologies. Experience in financial services or financial products is a plus. Certification in Unix, Red Hat/Linux, databases, or financial markets is a plus. English fluent. French is a plus. Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues in production environments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, while demonstrating reliability, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
