Consider this opportunity. Ontario Health is seeking a Senior Analyst to generate evidence-based insights that inform population health planning, health system performance, and decision-making. As part of the Population Health Data Strategy and Implementation team, you will apply advanced analytical thinking, evaluation expertise, and strong data storytelling to support initiatives that improve outcomes for Ontarians. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact priorities across Primary and Community Based Care, designing meaningful indicators, developing reporting products, and translating complex information into clear recommendations for internal teams and system partners. Here is what you will be doing: Lead outcomes measurement, evaluation, and performance analytics to inform healthcare planning, policy, and operational decision-making. Design evaluation methodologies, analytical approaches, and performance indicators for new and ongoing healthcare initiatives. Develop population health reporting tools, dashboards, and information products that translate complex data into practical insights. Apply best practices in data utilization, analytics, reporting, and documentation to support consistent, high-quality deliverables. Serve as a methodological expert for projects and reports involving Ontario Health teams and external partners, including the Ministry, Ontario Health Teams, healthcare providers, hospitals, and researchers. Support multiple data and analytics workstreams across Primary and Community Based Care, helping teams prioritize, resolve issues, and deliver timely insights. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to clarify needs, communicate findings, and support evidence-informed decisions. Provide operational support for service requests and issue resolution, including root cause analysis, process improvement, and simplified documentation. Guide and support junior analysts in operational reporting, ad hoc queries, data requests, and related analytical deliverables. Contribute to organizational initiatives that advance Ontario Health’s mission, values, and goals. Here is what you will need to be successful: Education and Experience An undergraduate Degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Sciences, Health Administration or Health Informatics or related field or recognized equivalent, is required. Four to eight years of overall working experience, including three to five recent years specializing in information management, data quality, or healthcare information management activities. Experience in evaluation and a solid understanding of health economics Knowledge and Skills Experience with SQL and/or analytical tools such as SAS, Python, or R is considered an asset. Familiarity with healthcare datasets such as CIHI DAD and NACRS, OHIP, and other relevant sources. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, complex formulas, and pivot tables. Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations Ability to critically analyze and define problems, evaluate alternatives, identify solutions and determine appropriate decision-making approaches Understanding of Ontario healthcare funding across all sectors, including processes, reforms and accountabilities. Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of clients, colleagues, and external organizations Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying analytical results Location: Ontario Health (OH) welcomes applications from candidates across Ontario.
