Role Location: Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, or Quebec (Remote or Hybrid Type: Full‑time, technical co‑founder / CTO
You will own RideUnity’s technical vision and delivery, lead engineering and data efforts, and build the technical foundation that supports pilots and growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for architecture, product delivery, team hiring and development, and clear technical communication with partners and investors.
Key responsibilities Lead engineering and product delivery with high ownership and accountability Define and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable systems without prescribing implementation details publicly Hire, mentor, and grow a small, inclusive engineering team Translate research and technical tradeoffs into pragmatic product decisions for pilots and customers Represent technical progress to partners and investors in clear, non‑technical terms
Qualifications Advanced research experience preferred (PhD or equivalent) or equivalent practical experience shipping production systems Strong software architecture and product development track record at early‑stage companies or research labs Proven leadership in building and scaling engineering teams and delivery processes Excellent communicator able to present technical plans to non‑technical stakeholders Commitment to ethical technology, data privacy, and community impact
Nice to have Experience with data‑driven products, mobile ecosystems, or regulated environments Prior founder or early‑stage CTO experience
Compensation Equity‑heavy cofounder package plus competitive compensation; details discussed with finalists
