Website Operations Specialist (E-commerce)
About the role
Job summary The Website Operations Specialist is a core member of the E-Commerce cell, operating with a start-up mindset to drive website performance, stability, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Business Development Director, this role collaborates across the team to contribute to strategy while leading execution across all web platforms and tools. The role is responsible for running, improving, and scaling the website experience.
Primary responsibilities
Website operations and platform management Own and operate the Magento website (CMS) and complete tech stack (Nexcess, OneTrust, all extensions), ensuring performance, uptime, and continuous improvement. Work closely with and manage external vendors such as developers. Manage release cycles, QA, and project deployments. Monitor and resolve issues related to performance, bugs, and integrations. Deliver website improvements including new features, extensions, and enhancements. Ensure proper access, permissions, and website security best practices.
Product data, feeds and cross-functional execution
Own execution across Salsify (PIM), Google Merchant Center, Meta Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. Maintain review feeds (e.g., Bazaarvoice) and localization. Drive product onboarding in collaboration with Merchandising and UI/UX, ensuring accuracy and speed. Support tagging and tracking via Google Tag Manager. Assist with shipping logic and checkout validation. Support CRO initiatives and A/B testing. Manage backlog items, bug triage, and content updates. Help other functions automate processes to ensure continuous improvement.
Profile
3–5 years of experience in e-commerce website operations, web development, or digital product execution. Strong hands-on experience with Magento (or similar CMS platforms) and managing a full website ecosystem. Experience managing external developers or agencies, including coordination of deliverables and timelines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a highly organized and execution-focused approach. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup or test-and-learn environment.
Qualifications and competencies
Experience with Product Information Management systems (e.g., Salsify). Experience with Google Merchant Center and Meta Merchant Center, including product feeds and diagnostics. Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console. Technical foundation in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript,TypeScript and HTML/CSS. Solid understanding of website performance, including speed, uptime, and debugging. Solid understanding of release management, including staging, QA, and deployment. Familiarity with CRO, A/B testing, and tracking implementation is considered an asset. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
