Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our Cybersecurity team in protecting systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This internship provides hands-on experience with security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and cybersecurity best practices in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in implementing and monitoring security alerts Investigate potential threats or suspicious activities Participate in Incident Response activities, including documentation and analysis. Support surface attack management including risk and vulnerability assessments, testing, and remediation tracking. Help maintain security tools such as email filters, web gateway, SIEM, and endpoint protection solutions. Support threat intelligence gathering. Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. Assist with security audits, compliance checks, and policy reviews. Help create and update security documentation, reports, and training materials. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve system security and compliance. Identify opportunities and define specifications for automation projects, including AI operationalization. Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and enterprise IT environment Familiarity with fundamental cybersecurity principles and best practices Basic experience with administering Windows and Linux operating systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills, including adapting to audience of varying technical skillsets Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly. Preferred Qualifications Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar). Exposure to security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. Participation in cybersecurity competitions, CTF, labs, or certifications always a plus Desired Skills & Competencies Strong interest and curiosity about cybersecurity Following trends and threat intelligence.
