Title: Senior Computer Vision Engineer Time: Full-Time (EST hours) Location: Remote Compensation: $150,000/y USD ($209k/y CAD) (Bonus + Equity)

Role Overview The Senior Computer Vision Engineer will work closely with engineering and product teams to deploy and optimize advanced threat detection models. This role requires a professional who is ready to be dynamic to tackle complex data challenges as they arise in a growing company. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between data science research and production-level artificial intelligence applications, ensuring high model accuracy and performance.

Feature Development & Implementation Lead hands-on development of new computer vision features including object detection, object tracking, image classification, image segmentation, and VLM-based capabilities Apply traditional image processing techniques such as filtering, morphological operations, feature extraction, and edge detection alongside deep learning approaches Build and maintain scalable image processing pipelines optimized for security surveillance use cases Rapidly prototype and validate new ideas to assess feasibility and product fit Stay current with the latest developments in computer vision and AI, and bring relevant ideas and innovations to the team Model Deployment & Inference Design and implement efficient model deployment and inferencing solutions on AWS, including services such as SageMaker, EC2, S3, and Lambda Optimize models for real-time inference through quantization, pruning, and hardware acceleration Ensure production models meet latency, throughput, and reliability requirements Maintain robust deployment pipelines and monitoring in collaboration with ML Ops and engineering teams Technical Mentorship & Collaboration Serve as a technical resource and mentor for the broader engineering team Contribute to code reviews and help raise the bar on code quality and engineering standards Partner with data annotation teams to define training data requirements for new models Collaborate with the engineering team on architecture and best practices Field Support Work with field teams to troubleshoot and resolve computer vision related issues in customer environments Investigate and diagnose production issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes in a timely manner Use field feedback to inform product improvements and development priorities Project Management & Execution Manage your own workload and deliverables with a high degree of ownership and accountability Use agile practices and tools like Jira to track progress and communicate status Proactively identify risks and dependencies and communicate them early

What We Are Looking For 5+ years of experience in computer vision engineering or a related field Strong hands-on experience with object detection, object tracking, image classification, and image segmentation Solid understanding of vision language models and their practical applications Proficiency in traditional image processing techniques alongside modern deep learning approaches Strong AWS experience including model deployment and inference optimization using services such as SageMaker, EC2, S3, and Lambda Ability to stay on top of developments in computer vision and AI and translate relevant ideas into product improvements Experience with ML Ops practices including experiment tracking, model versioning, and deployment pipelines Strong programming skills in Python and relevant ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams Self-motivated with strong project management and organizational skills
