Role Description The IT Support Technician L1 is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON. This role provides first-level technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and related peripherals used by internal team members. Day-to-day tasks include responding to support tickets, diagnosing hardware and software issues, performing basic computer repairs, and resolving printer and network connectivity problems. The technician will assist with system setups, software installation and updates, user account configurations, and routine maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations. The role also involves documenting incidents, escalating complex issues when needed, and communicating clearly with non-technical users. Qualifications Strong Technical Support skills, including handling Level 1 queries and ticket-based support. Hands-on experience with Desktop Computers, laptops, and common operating systems (Windows, macOS). Proficiency in Troubleshooting hardware and software issues and basic network connectivity problems. Practical Printer Support experience, including setup, configuration, and resolving print-related errors. Basic Computer Repair skills, such as component replacement and system configuration. Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms. Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize multiple support requests. Ability to work on-site in Mississauga, ON, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Relevant certification or coursework (e.g., CompTIA A+, IT support diploma) is an asset. Previous experience in an IT help desk or technical support environment is not required but preferred.
