Role Summary: As an Associate, Business Intelligence, you will lead in gathering, managing, analyzing, and reporting of financial data to enable actionable insights and recommendations that support strategic decision-making processes. You will also be responsible for delivering Total Fund reporting and analytics to consumers across the organization. Accountabilities & Qualifications: Accountabilities Support the timely and accurate publishing of total fund level reporting, including performing analysis to identify and explain significant changes to the Total Fund asset and exposure composition. Leveraging technical tools (i.e. SQL, Python, AWS), perform complex data analysis on large volumes of unstructured data to investigate and resolve reporting exceptions. Actively support partnerships with Enterprise Data Management and Technology in continuously enhance portfolio data quality & delivery and self-serve reporting capabilities (e.g. data visualization, Tableau) based on end user requirements. Work with Investment Departments and Operations teams to identify evolving reporting needs to support investment decision-making. Assist in gathering business requirements, coordination the user acceptance testing and provide ongoing training to downstream users. Strong ability to work independently and as part of the team in a fast-paced environment, while building effective working relationships within your team and across various groups at CPP Investments. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and reporting to enhance skills and capabilities. Assist in developing tests and automating control checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information being used. Lead cross functional projects and initiatives by identifying issues, assessing implications, recommending solutions, and proactively managing tasks and timelines. Qualifications Undergraduate degree or college diploma in related field 5+ year of relevant experience Understanding of investment products is considered an asset Relevant professional designation (e.g., MBA, CPA or CFA) or progression toward one considered an asset. Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python; experience in AWS relevant applications (e.g. QuickSight, etc.) Demonstrated ability to produce insightful analysis of business issues and suggest potential solutions for complex situations. Knowledge and/or experience of Agile and Product Management concepts considered an asset. Advanced experience working with large data sets, using superior analytical skills, having a strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics You are motivated to contribute to something larger than yourself, approach complex challenges with rigor, and hold yourself to high standards in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.
