We are hiring a Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support enterprise application testing and quality assurance initiatives for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced QA professional with 10+ years of software testing experience, expertise in manual and automated testing, and a strong background in enterprise applications, integrated systems, and Agile/Waterfall delivery methodologies.
The successful candidate will lead end-to-end testing activities, develop comprehensive test strategies, ensure software quality across complex enterprise environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing business solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Quality Assurance Strategy (30%) Collaborate with Business Analysts during business requirements and use case walkthroughs. Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and testing schedules. Design detailed test scenarios, test cases, and testing checklists aligned with business requirements. Prepare QA documentation and testing artifacts supporting project governance and architecture checkpoints. Ensure testing activities align with project delivery methodologies and quality standards. Test Execution & Defect Management (40%) Execute end-to-end functional testing across enterprise applications. Perform regression, integration, performance, load, backend, web services, and security testing. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) in collaboration with business stakeholders. Execute both automated and manual testing to validate system functionality. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution. Support production readiness and release validation activities. Environment Management & Technical Testing (15%) Configure and maintain testing environments. Test enterprise applications across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. Validate multi-tier, integrated, and interconnected business systems. Support testing for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and custom-developed applications. Verify application availability, scalability, performance, and system integrity. Collaboration, Reporting & Continuous Improvement (15%) Collaborate with Project Managers on release management and implementation planning. Prepare testing reports, QA metrics, and defect summaries. Work closely with development teams to resolve technical issues. Participate in architecture review checkpoints and production readiness assessments. Provide recommendations to improve testing processes and software quality.

Public Sector Experience (Highly Preferred)
Experience working within Ontario Public Sector (OPS) or other government organizations. Knowledge of government IT standards, enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and quality assurance frameworks. Familiarity with public sector policies, governance, and compliance requirements.
