About the role

Summary

Location: Montreal, QC Work Mode: Onsite/in-office presence required 3x/week Duration: 12 Months Contract

Responsibilities

Partner directly with senior technologists to understand workflows and identify automation opportunities. Rapidly translate emerging GenAI usage, risks, and architectural patterns into governance tooling. Build internal tools, dashboards, and applications using AI-assisted development. Leverage coding assistants to rapidly prototype and deliver solutions. Create reusable workflows, agents, and integrations that enable others to become more productive. Evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and performance. Iterate quickly based on user feedback rather than striving for perfection on day one. Mentor and enable non-developers to safely build their own solutions.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Python. Heavy, responsible use of AI coding assistants. Experience with LLMs, agents, or AI orchestration frameworks. Experience building APIs, automations, or web applications. Very comfortable using AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow. Ability to debug, review, and improve AI-generated code rather than blindly accepting outputs. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work from loosely defined requirements. Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks. Experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms. Experience building internal tooling or automation platforms. Familiarity with SQL, vector databases, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Experience in consulting, solutions engineering, or developer productivity roles. Architecture governance literacy. Solid understanding of architecture principles, standards, patterns, and guardrails.
