Cornerbridge Talent Partners is partnering with an early-stage AI infrastructure startup building tools for enterprise AI systems.

We’re hiring an AI Research Engineer to help develop the core technical methods behind more reliable AI applications in production. This role reports to a senior technical founder and will own research execution, prototype development, and production-facing AI capabilities.

About the Company Our client is an early-stage, venture-backed AI infrastructure company helping enterprises build, test, and improve AI-powered workflows. The company is operating with a small technical team and is focused on solving practical reliability challenges as AI systems move from prototypes into production.

What You’ll Do Develop and improve AI methods, algorithms, and systems for production-grade AI workflows. Design new approaches for testing, measuring, and improving AI system behavior in real-world environments. Translate research ideas into working prototypes and product capabilities. Partner with product and engineering to turn frontier AI techniques into practical customer value. Help shape technical direction across AI reliability, evaluation, experimentation, and optimization.

What You Bring 1+ years of experience in LLM systems, applied AI research, AI agent development, or closely related work. Strong Python skills and hands-on experience building AI/ML systems. Familiarity with LLMs, agentic systems, evaluation frameworks, reinforcement learning, or continuous learning approaches. Ability to move between research, experimentation, and practical implementation. Comfort operating in an early-stage environment with high ownership and ambiguity.

Bonus Experience Prior work on AI system evaluation, testing, reliability, or agentic workflows. Experience translating research into production systems. Background in enterprise AI, developer tools, AI infrastructure, or applied ML platforms.

Who This Is For This role is a strong fit for a hands-on research engineer who wants to build, not just publish. You should be motivated by turning promising AI prototypes into robust, usable systems and comfortable contributing original ideas while shipping practical capabilities.

How to Apply Apply with your resume. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Cornerbridge Talent Partners.

Note: Candidates must have current authorization to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
