We are preparing a bid in response to a Government of Canada requirement at DND and are seeking a qualified Application / Software Architect (Level 3) to include in our proposal.

This is a proposal-based opportunity. Candidates must clearly demonstrate their experience against the criteria below. Only complete and compliant submissions will be considered.

Please note: All referenced projects must be a minimum of six (6) months in duration.

Requirements

• Do you have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing the duties of an Application / Software Architect (equivalent to TBIPS Stream 1, Level 3)?
• Do you hold a degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering, and can you provide a copy?
• Do you have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience architecting advanced cloud-based data analytics solutions, including at least five (5) years leading enterprise-grade data implementation projects across a minimum of three (3) projects?
• Do you hold a valid certification as either Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and can you provide a copy?
• Do you have extensive experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple sources?
• Can you demonstrate strong experience integrating diverse data sources and performing data transformations to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability?
• Do you have experience working with big data processing tools such as Apache Spark, Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake to manage large-scale cloud-based data platforms?
• Do you have experience using Microsoft DevOps tools to implement CI/CD pipelines and optimize cloud-based data platforms, including work on Major Projects within the federal government (>$10M)?
• Do you hold any additional certifications such as TOGAF, Databricks, HDP, Microsoft DevOps, or Transact-SQL certifications?
