ITAM SAM Developer (Flexera to ServiceNow Migration)

Role Summary

The ITAM SAM Developer will design, configure, and support ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) capabilities as part of the migration from Flexera to ServiceNow. The role will focus on software entitlements, license positions, software models, normalization, publisher data, reclamation workflows, and software compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities Configure and support ServiceNow SAM Pro modules, software models, entitlements, discovery models, normalization, and reconciliation processes. Analyze Flexera software asset and license data and support data mapping, cleansing, transformation, and migration into ServiceNow. Configure software license compliance rules, publisher packs, license metrics, allocations, reclamation workflows, and optimization reports. Collaborate with business users to validate software asset management processes, license compliance requirements, and reporting needs. Partner with integration and CMDB teams to ensure software installations, devices, users, and entitlement relationships are accurately linked and maintained. Support data validation, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, cutover planning, deployment, and post-production hypercare activities. Prepare and maintain documentation including SAM configurations, data mapping specifications, licensing assumptions, workflow designs, and operational handover procedures.

Required Technical Skills Hands-on experience in ServiceNow SAM Pro configuration and development. Strong understanding of software asset management, software lifecycle management, license entitlement, compliance, and optimization processes. Experience with software models, discovery models, publisher packs, normalization, reconciliation, and license metric configuration. Experience using import sets, transform maps, data imports, and reporting capabilities for software asset data migration. Understanding of software reclamation processes, SaaS license management, and software audit/compliance reporting.

Preferred Skills Experience with Flexera SAM data migration, including software entitlements, contracts, license positions, and normalized software asset data. Experience supporting major software publisher licensing models, including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, VMware, and similar vendors. Experience supporting SAM reporting requirements within regulated industries or financial services environments.

Required Certifications ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM)

Preferred Certifications ITIL 4 Foundation ServiceNow Micro-Certifications related to SAM or ITAM

Experience Requirements: Experience with ServiceNow implementation, configuration, migration, integration, testing, documentation, deployment, and hypercare support. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Experience in Flexera to ServiceNow migration projects is highly preferred. Experience working in banking, financial services, or large-scale enterprise transformation programs is preferred.

Salary Range - CA$ 90,000 - CA$ 110,000 Per Year
