About The Role

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Full Stack Web Developer to join our Electric Eye team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a web application designed for processing and visualizing remote sensing data related to greenhouse gas emissions. As part of a dynamic, cross-functional Agile Scrum team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting our post-processing software solutions. The ideal candidate should be proficient in both frontend and backend development, with a strong understanding of web technologies, security standards, and best practices. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental advancements while working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience Proven ability to work with JavaScript, Typescript, and Python Experience with modern web frameworks such as React.js, Node.js, and TailwindCSS Hands-on experience building and consuming REST APIs Familiarity with AWS services including EKS, ECR, S3, and DynamoDB Competence with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL Proficiency with software development tools like Git and Docker Experience designing services in a cloud-native environment (AWS) Ability to independently deliver features from concept to deployment Eligibility to obtain Canadian government security clearance

Responsibilities

Develop tools and application features to enhance the workflow of processing emission-related data Evaluate, integrate, and support frontend and backend services, databases, data transformation frameworks, and APIs Take ownership of new feature implementation throughout the entire development lifecycle Optimize data structures, schemas, and queries to ensure high performance and scalability Collaborate with team members to design and evolve system architecture Maintain high availability and reliability of the data processing platform Liaise with developers, designers, QA, and product stakeholders to identify and implement new features Participate in a shared on-call rotation to provide support outside regular hours as needed
