OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We’re looking for Senior Data Architects to define and lead the target-state data ecosystem within a complex healthcare environment. These roles will drive enterprise data architecture across cloud platforms, enable interoperability, and support both operational and analytical use cases, including advanced analytics and AI/ML.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Lead the design of enterprise data architectures in cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
- Define and implement data models, standards, and governance frameworks across diverse systems and teams
- Architect robust data integration solutions (batch, real-time, and event-driven) across clinical and operational platforms
- Design for security, privacy, and compliance in a regulated healthcare environment
- Establish and advance data management capabilities, including data quality, metadata, lineage, and MDM
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and business teams to align data strategy with organizational goals
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:
- Proven experience designing modern, enterprise-scale data platforms in Azure (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Fabric)
- Strong expertise in data modeling and enterprise data architecture practices
- Deep understanding of data integration patterns across complex systems
- Experience working with healthcare data ecosystems, including interoperability standards like FHIR and HL7
- A strong grasp of data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics platforms
- Familiarity with population health, clinical data models, or health system reporting
- Exposure to API-led architectures and FHIR-based integration approaches
