Schedule: Morning shift Pay: $86,000-$112,000 DOE Direct Hire/Fully Onsite
Overview Our client is seeking an experienced MES Systems & Analytics Engineer to support and optimize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role serves as a key bridge between Operations, Quality, Engineering, and IT, ensuring system reliability while driving data-driven decision-making, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities MES Operations Support Provide daily operational support for MES systems across manufacturing operations. Troubleshoot and resolve MES-related system issues. Monitor and maintain system performance, reliability, and data integrity. Support manufacturing teams to ensure uninterrupted production operations. Digital & Analytics Enablement Develop, optimize, and validate SQL queries, reports, and dashboards. Support business intelligence platforms, including Power BI and similar tools. Ensure manufacturing KPIs accurately reflect operational performance. Support cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric. AI & Automation Support Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to enhance troubleshooting, documentation, and process efficiency. Develop and maintain AI-supported knowledge bases, including SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and operational playbooks. Support AI-driven monitoring solutions, including anomaly detection and predictive insights. Validate AI-generated alerts and recommendations using operational data. Develop simple automation tools, workflows, or bots to improve business processes. System Integration Support integrations between MES, ERP, WMS, PLCs, and other manufacturing systems. Assist with API development, JSON data exchanges, and system connectivity. Participate in solution architecture discussions and impact assessments. Testing & Deployment Support test planning, test case development, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Assist with system deployments, upgrades, and go-live activities. Validate system performance and functionality under real-world production conditions.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of experience supporting traceability systems or MES solutions in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of MES systems and manufacturing processes. Advanced SQL development and database querying skills. Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI. Experience working with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric. Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data exchange methodologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Basic Python programming experience. Experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and automation platforms. Knowledge of manufacturing system architecture and digital transformation initiatives. Experience supporting ERP, WMS, PLC, and industrial automation integrations.
