As the Analytics Data Specialist, you will champion and deliver enterprise data products that turn raw data into trusted insights, enabling scalable analytics through an Analytics Centre of Excellence. As part of the team that powers enterprise reporting and decision-making, you'll empower every area of the business with trusted data and insights that drive measurable business outcomes. Led by the Manager, Data and Analytics, this opportunity suits a collaborative and detail-oriented professional who enjoys building scalable data solutions, enabling enterprise analytics, and solving complex data challenges.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here’s how: Design, build, and maintain scalable data products within Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystems that deliver trusted, business-ready data for reporting, analytics and decision making. Develop and maintain Lakehouse and Warehouse data architectures, ensuring structured high performing data layers that support enterprise analytics. Design and optimize business aligned semantic models that enable consistent reporting and analytics. Develop automated data pipelines and integrated workflows using Fabric Data Factory, notebooks and Azure services to transform and deliver data. Implement scalable data transformations that standardize how data is curated and modeled for analytics consumption. Ensure data quality, integrity and reliability through validation, monitoring and cleansing processes across all datasets. Collaborate with analytics teams to deliver high quality data solutions and enable adoption of enterprise data products. Support enterprise data governance and master data management practices by applying data standards and lineage tracking. We’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or a related field; additional analytics certifications are an asset. A minimum of five years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related analytics role. Strong experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL. Strong experience with data engineering and analytics languages (PySpark, SQL, Python, R). Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, Azure SQL), PowerShell scripting, and ETL/ELT processes (SSIS). Experience with cloud data platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL. Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub) to support repeatable deployments. Strong understanding of modern data architecture, including medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold), dimensional and semantic data models, and data governance practices. Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, and reporting (Power BI). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues across distributed data platforms. Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and confidently interact with senior leaders. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Highly adaptable, with a passion for learning and evolving alongside emerging technologies such as Microsoft Fabric and AI. Experience with data mining, predictive analytics, machine learning, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is an asset. The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
