nt What you will be doi ng:The Cloud Administrator is responsible for the administration, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise cloud environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Azure VMware Solution (AVS). The role ensures the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of cloud infrastructure services while aligning with organizational governance, security, and compliance requiremen ts.Core Responsibilit iesCloud Infrastructure Operati ons• Administer and support Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, identity, backup, monitori ng)• Support Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments and hybrid connectiv ity• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively address iss ues• Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analy sisSecurity & Access Managem ent• Implement and maintain Azure security controls (RBAC, Conditional Access, M FA)• Manage administrative roles and enforce least-privilege access mod els• Support vulnerability remediation and compliance activit ieso Administer Azure AD (Entra I D):o Users, groups, service princip als• Assist with privileged role governa nce• Support implementation of:o Security baseli neso Logging and audit configurati ons• Assist with audit readiness and evidence collect ion• Ensure consistency of controls acro ss:o Azure nat iveo AVS-connected environme ntsAutomation & Configuration Managem ent• Develop and maintain automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep/Terrafo rm)• Standardize builds and configurations using enterprise templates (landing zon es)Subscription & Landing Zone Governa nce• Mana ge:o Subscriptions, resource gro upso Management groups hierar chy• Apply and mainta in:o Azure Polic ieso Naming standards, tagging complia nce• Ensure workloads are deployed into the approved landing zo nesAzure (Native Cloud Servic es)• Administer Azure-native services (IaaS/PaaS), includi ng:o Virtual Machines, App Services (if applicab le)o Storage, Backup, and DRo Networking (VNETs, NSGs, DNS, Azure Firewall, et c.)• Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and c ost• Support cloud-native security controls and complia nceCloud Infrastructure Operati ons• Administer and support Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, identity, backup, monitori ng)• Support Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments and hybrid connectiv ity• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; proactively address iss ues• Perform incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analy sisIntegration & Support Mo del• Work closely with Managed Service Providers (MSP) delivering day-to-day I Ops• Integrate cloud operations with enterprise ITSM processes (incident, change, probl em)• Support migrations from on-prem to Azure/AVS (lift-and-shift workloa ds)Governance & Documentat ion• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedu res• Ensure alignment with organizational standards, security policies, and audit requireme nts• Participate in change control and architectural governance proces
