Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineering Manager role based in Oakville, ON. The Engineering Manager will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, setting priorities, providing coaching, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software and hardware development activities, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring alignment with product and quality requirements. The role involves coordinating system integration efforts, resolving technical issues, and supporting field teams and customers with complex engineering challenges. The Engineering Manager will also contribute to product roadmap planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to safety, regulatory, and ISO standards. Qualifications Strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with experience guiding and developing high-performing technical teams. Proficiency in Software Development practices, including collaborating with developers on architecture, design reviews, and code quality. Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Experience with Integration of hardware, software, and embedded systems, ideally in complex or safety-critical products. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Software, Systems, or related field) or equivalent practical experience. Background in industrial equipment, instrumentation, radiation detection, or similar domains is an asset. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems and engineering best practices. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and with global stakeholders.
