About The Role
As a Data Analyst at The Battle of Giants, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting data related to various companies' growth initiatives. Your insights will help compare organizations against industry benchmarks, identify strategic opportunities, and understand the factors influencing future growth. This position requires a blend of analytical expertise and storytelling skills, as you will be responsible for performing detailed research, data cleaning, and crafting compelling narratives around your findings. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, developers, and fellow analysts to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Your work will involve exploring data transformation techniques, enhancing feature engineering for machine learning models, and developing visualizations that clearly communicate complex information. The role demands a proactive mindset, critical thinking, and a willingness to challenge assumptions to uncover root causes and actionable solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field Proven experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with data querying tools Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar platforms Understanding of corporate strategy, economics, and business performance metrics Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories through data Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and a curious mindset Experience with machine learning concepts and feature engineering is a plus
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to ensure high-quality analysis Analyze company growth initiatives and benchmark performance against industry standards Develop and refine features for machine learning algorithms to improve predictive accuracy Create visualizations and dashboards that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders Research and identify root causes of business challenges and strategic opportunities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable recommendations Contribute to the development of investigative stories that highlight key findings and implications Continuously learn new tools and techniques to enhance analytical capabilities Support the team in solving complex data problems and improving data transformation processes
