Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM i (AS400) Production Support Analyst to provide production support for IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing applications, ensuring high system availability, incident resolution, and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide production support for IBM i (AS400/iSeries) billing applications and meet SLA targets. Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production issues. Monitor and manage batch jobs, job scheduling, job queues, and batch recovery. Perform data fixes, file maintenance, system debugging, and production deployments. Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure system stability. Implement operational improvements and support 24x7 critical incident resolution.
Required Skills
Strong experience with IBM i (AS400/iSeries) production support and billing platforms. Proficiency in CL (Control Language) and RPG/RPGLE (ILE RPG). Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, job queues, job logs, spool files, and system messages. Hands-on experience with data fixes, file maintenance, and system-level debugging. Exposure to automation scripting, monitoring tools, and batch recovery strategies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
