Guidewire Solutions Architecture Consultant (CAS)
About the role
Here is a brief overview of the tasks and responsibilities:
Identify and document the functional capabilities required to meet expressed business needs; Determine the applications and services involved in the solutions and evaluate their impacts (cohabitation, dependencies, performance, security); Develop IT orientations supporting the selected solutions; Produce solution architecture files, including coverage of non-functional requirements; Describe and popularize solutions by means of architectural diagrams and models (ideally in Archimate); Support teams in the detailed design and integration of solutions; Develop strategies for transition, cohabitation, conversion and offloading; Communicate effectively with different types of audiences: business, functional, developers, managers, scrum master, delivery manager; Ensure that solutions comply with the norms, standards and orientations of the company; Define and enforce Guidewire's cloud solution development best practices; Mentor developers and serve as a technical reference for the Guidewire suite.
The profile we are looking for is as follows:
Hold a university degree in computer science or equivalent training; Have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a solutions architect or in a related role; Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience with the Guidewire suite; Demonstrate significant experience as a project solutions architect; Experience in cross-application integration (API, Web Services, event architecture); Effectively manage priorities, plan work, and evolve in a matrix environment; Master one or more architecture repositories as well as the ArchiMate notation; Master the concepts and methods of deploying application solutions on on-premise and cloud infrastructures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and CaaS); Experience with microservices-oriented architecture; Be proficient in the Guidewire suite, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter; Know the APIs of the Guidewire suite; Proficiency in the Gosu language and the configuration of PCF pages in Guidewire products; This position requires working primarily in French, while requiring a functional command of English for daily tasks. This English proficiency is essential for understanding documentation and ensuring professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada.
