Duties:

The Educational Assistant will work under the supervision and direction of the Principal and the classroom teacher to assist in the instructional programme. Duties include the preparation of materials, instruction-related activities, assisting with school/classroom management, and support services.

Qualifications:

Completion of a post-secondary education program in:

• Educational Support Worker, Educational Assistant Certificate, Early Childhood Education, Social Services Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Child & Youth Worker, in-school academic requirements of Educational Assistant Apprenticeship Program or equivalent and/or experience as approved by the Superintendent of Education.
