We are seeking a full-time Sr. Principal Programmer to enhance and develop SkySpec, our in-house compliance and requirement management application. As a member of our team, you’ll take part in a dynamic environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities to accelerate the future of the wireless industry by implementing leading-edge software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for the SkySpec application
- Work with the IT team to ensure all new code conforms to Skyworks standard guidelines
- Learn the business needs and priorities of SkySpec users
- React quickly to real-time bug reports and feature requests
- Create automated data reports for marketing and engineering purposes
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across the SkySpec platform.
- Participate in architectural discussions with the software architect and contribute to long‑term technical strategy.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and propose sustainable long‑term fixes.
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering with at least 12 years experience, or equivalent
- Skilled in ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, Microsoft SQL
- Highly organized and motivated self-starter with outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Curious, creative and a collaborative problem solver
- Team Player with a focus on the goals and outcomes of the business unit in a fast-paced priority-driven environment
Desired Experience and Skills
- Familiarity with statistical concepts is an asset
The typical total targeted cash range for this role is currently CAD $131,670 - $171,325 per year. Starting compensation will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
