About the role

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive Android Support Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in Android application development and production support. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Android SDK, APIs, troubleshooting, debugging, and incident management. This role involves supporting business-critical Android applications, resolving production issues, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring optimal application performance and stability. Key Responsibilities Provide L2/L3 support for Android applications and services in production environments. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks. Monitor application health, logs, and system performance to proactively identify and address issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures for recurring problems. Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to resolve incidents and service requests. Support application deployments, releases, and production validations. Debug issues related to Android SDK, APIs, third-party integrations, and backend service interactions. Manage incident tickets, prioritize support activities, and ensure SLA adherence. Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and support procedures. Participate in on-call rotations and production support activities when required. Required Skills & Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in Android application development and support. Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Framework, and RESTful APIs. Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin. Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills using Android Studio, Logcat, ADB, and monitoring tools. Experience with production support, incident management, and root cause analysis. Knowledge of application performance tuning and memory management. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
