Agricorp is looking for a Help Desk Operator who is results oriented, customer-focused and a strong communicator, to be part of Agricorp’s Network & Infrastructure Services team, within the Information Technology Services division.

 

THE ROLE

The Help Desk Operator is responsible to provide first level technical support for Agricorp’s desktop computing environment as well as the recording and dispatching of all system requests funneled through the Help Desk team. In addition, the Help Desk Operator is responsible for initial problem ticket assessment and triage to determine priority level of requests and escalations.

In this role you will:

  • Provide support to Agricorp’s Help Desk by managing the Help Desk phone and email account

  • Create, configure and delete user accounts on both Active Directory and Windows platforms

  • Provide first-level support to in-house and remote employees

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of laptops

  • Support workstation software including patches, Internet connectivity, operating systems and normal business applications

  • Maintain inventories including computers, telephony and software

Job Status: 12 month contract – posting is for an existing vacancy

Salary: $24.92/hr - $29.31/hr Work status: Full time in office  Location: Guelph, Ontario

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Diploma or degree in the Information Technology field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience

  • A+ certificate in hardware and basic operating systems

  • Intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft-related products

  • Customer service experience in a technical position
