Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial student to lead AI-driven process improvement initiatives within the Career Management team. This role will focus on designing and implementing automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, improve employer experience, and create better outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities

Job Posting Process Automation (Primary Project)

  • Analyze the current job posting workflow from employer submission to student visibility
  • Identify bottlenecks contributing to current posting timelines (currently 48–72 hours)
  • Design and implement an AI-assisted workflow to enable same-day job postings
  • Build solutions to automate: Job formatting and standardization
  • Approval and quality control processes
  • Routing and publishing across platforms
  • Ensure solutions maintain a high standard of customer service for employer partners
  • Track and report on improvements in turnaround time and satisfaction

Opportunity Identification & Scrubbing Automation

  • Develop a process to automatically identify and surface relevant job opportunities for Ivey students
  • Build criteria and filters aligned with program requirements (e.g., analytics-focused roles)
  • Use AI tools and/or web scraping to:
  • Source external job postings
  • Assess relevance and quality
  • Continuously refine accuracy and relevance of recommendations

Employer & Alumni Contact Identification (Stretch Project)

  • Design a system to automatically identify:
  • Recruiting contacts
  • Hiring managers
  • Relevant alumni at target organizations
  • Leverage tools such as LinkedIn, company sites, and AI enrichment platforms
  • Create structured outputs that support employer outreach efforts

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or related program and returning to school in the Fall
  • Strong interest in AI tools, automation, and process design

Experience with tools such as:

  • Python, Power Automate, Zapier, or similar automation platforms
  • Data analysis and workflow mapping
  • Ability to think in systems and translate problems into scalable solutions
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in maintaining quality and user experience
  • Self-starter who can manage ambiguity and drive projects independently

Skills, Abilities & Expertise:

  • Written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly, and adapt communication style to suit the situation and audience
  • Ability to maintain a positive, outgoing attitude with genuine customer service orientation
  • Reliable and dependable with the ability to consistently work assigned schedule
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate information and make appropriate decisions
  • Ability to apply creativity, innovation and resourcefulness to daily work
  • Ability to follow detailed and/or complex processes and practices with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrates integrity and works in accordance with Western¿s policies and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain an organized and effective personal work environment
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and use new software programs as required
  • Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of the team to achieve department goals
  • Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements as applicable
