JOB TITLE:
Junior Application Consultant- Assets
POSITION DETAILS:
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
Location: Hybrid – Ideal location Toronto, ON or Vancouver, BC

TRAINING AND TRAVEL:
- A comprehensive in-person training program between 4 to 6 weeks is incorporated into onboarding.
- The position involves up to 50% travel across North America, depending on project needs.
- Candidates must have the legal authorization to travel within Canada and the U.S. without requiring employer-sponsored visas or additional visa processing.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Junior Application Consultant — Assets works with municipal and infrastructure clients to implement, configure, and support asset management solutions. The platform covers four core capability areas: Asset Management (lifecycle tracking, condition monitoring, cost analysis, and repair/replacement forecasting), GIS Integration (interactive mapping with color-coded risk and funding layers for council and resident communication), Field Mobility (a mobile app enabling crews to inspect, photograph, and update assets online or offline with real-time syncing), and Work Order Management (automated work order generation, crew assignment, and labor/materials tracking for accountable maintenance). This role helps local governments get the most out of these tools — stretching asset useful life, cutting emergency callouts, and driving faster, more cost-visible maintenance operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Configure and implement Asset Management modules including lifecycle tracking, condition scoring, depreciation, and repair/replacement forecasting

Set up and support GIS Integration — interactive maps with risk and funding layers to help clients explain priorities to councils and residents

Deploy and train crews on the Field Mobility app for field inspections, photo capture, and real-time asset updates (online/offline)

Configure Work Order Management workflows — automated generation, crew assignment, labor/materials tracking, and cost visibility

Lead requirements gathering, gap analysis, and UAT for asset management implementations

Support data migrations and validate asset records using SQL queries

Deliver end-user training to municipal staff and create documentation

Provide go-live and hyper care support; troubleshoot and escalate issues
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Experienced in asset management fundamentals and municipal government operations to support system optimization and compliance.

Utilized SQL and data querying to analyze datasets, generate reports, and inform decision-making.

Contributed to ERP or Assets implementation methodology, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment support.

Delivered customer-facing communication and training, ensuring successful user adoption and satisfaction.

Applied strong problem-solving and support acumen to troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions.

Applied domain knowledge to support accurate processes, compliance, and customer account management.

Led product requirements development by gathering business needs, defining specifications, and aligning stakeholders.

Designed and delivered report development solutions to support data-driven decision-making.

Applied integration and API literacy to support system connectivity, data flow, and third-party integrations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Common to all job postings)

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Finance.

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting and / or

A minimum of 1-2 years years of experience in technical/programming field.
