We are currently seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our team in Markham, ON.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and systems. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues in a timely manner. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and processes. Develop and maintain system integrations, APIs, and databases. Perform software testing, validation, and deployment activities. Monitor application performance and implement improvements when needed. Maintain technical documentation for applications, systems, and development processes. Assist with system upgrades, enhancements, and new feature development. Ensure software security, data protection, and compliance with company standards. Support end users by investigating and resolving technical issues. Participate in project planning, estimation, and implementation activities. Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and development practices. Work collaboratively within Agile or other software development methodologies to meet project timelines and objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in software development or programming roles. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar. Experience with software development methodologies, testing, and debugging practices. Knowledge of databases, APIs, and system integrations. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. Experience with Agile or Scrum development environments is considered an asset. Knowledge of cloud platforms, automation tools, or DevOps practices is considered an asset.
